    NEWS FROM THE FRONT
Nick comes back this tuesday. I hope he grew a beard from being in the yukon, since that's a pretty manly place.
I jammed with this kid matt i know in madison. It was hot at the beggining when we had energy, but then i git shitty. but we need more people, so if you're interested in doing some free jazz jamming, contact me. He wants to maybe start a band, but i don;t want to go anywhere beyond jamming.

I went to the mall with andre, annie, and her friend colleen. I got a smiths shirt. i know i'm cool.

last night was the Daughters show which kicked a shit load of ass. The other bands were realy good too, the noteworthy's include Sex Positions and Man Mountain. Daughters of course were godly. We saw beanie there too, which was nice. His new band Taking Hostages might play the show in my basement, and if they do no one has any ecuse for not going.

Pukey recording sessions are going well. we're recording the viking queen today, and then we have recordings of everything. I'm really pleased with how everything is going, except for my bass playing on the two untitled songs, which sounds too choppy. I gotsta get my overdub on.

summer started. its kind of sucked so far. it seems every summer i never see the people i want to see, and i feel mad alone. oh well. no school=no work i don't want to do. I spent the day playing piano. i want to play the upright i rented, but i can't find a fucking tuner, and my ear isn;t good enought to tune to the piano since the bass has mizzad low frequencies. so i've resorted to bitching about my shitty ear/lack of memory as to where i put shit. oh well.

    Birthday in a Backbrace
Electric Spank played today. it was stellar, if i do say so myself. we lowered expectaions of some, while raising them for others. Then we all danced for A-Train and co. doing "hey ya" which was fun as shit.

    Reading is cool
Today the electric soank practiced for acts. It was awsome, afterwards george said it best "that was some horrible shit." Oh well, we kind of knew people at school wouldn;t like it, so its all good. I hope the band gets kind of serious, since its mad fun to practice with them, unfortunatly i kind of know my role in the band is gonna become insignigant when the other guys start singing like they want to. I have no problem with that, but it would make me useless. I don;t know what i'll do when they do that, i wouldn;t realy want to be deadweight.

Anyway, i finished Zorba the Greek, which is a mad good book if you want something to make you feel good about life. I recomend it.

Today my cousins came over. It was okay, i kept trying to teach my younger cousin to say stuff like "fight the power" and "the man is holding me down." When i got home and asked my mom about maybe going to band practice for an hour, she gave me this big speech about how i'm wasting my time with pukey, and how me playing with them makes me a worse musicians. WHAT THE FUCK!!!&$!(!&*!*&$!(&$!($&!($&!$(&$&! thats the biggest load of shit i've ever heard. the music may not be the most melodic or the most complex, but its fun to play, and its fun to write. I also believe that it has helped me work on my chops to some extent. She's being so irrational its ridiculous.

This weekend was pretty shitty. I went to the MKA pseudo-artsy cofee house on friday, which was pretty depressing. most of the poems were ment to shock, but came of predictaable. there were some good poems, but most of the poems where pretty ghey. Then i got up saturday morning at 6 to drive to dc for a college visit for nick. mizzad boring, and as a result missed an enisgn show. i've been trying to see them live for about a year, and it's never worked out, i'm such a failure.

    pukey
the show was the shiznack today. i was supprised, because for the first time i can remember the majority of people who said they would come actualy did. we fucked shit up. We rawked. afterwards Carrie came up to me, told me that we were the craziest montclair band, and told me that we're gonna play with Cripple Fight.A succesfull conquest if i do say so myself.
And andre, sorry again about hitting you in the head. you know there's always much love

    Space is the Place
last night sam and i went to new york to see the sun ra arkestra. it was godly as fuck. they all still beleive all the stuff sun ra said about space, and they were wearing sequence robes and realy funny hats. they came out into the audience and were just dancing around. Marcus allen would just solo for whole songs, and he would strum his horn to get these amazing squeky sounds that some how went with the changes. it was religious. now sam's sleeping in my room. i tried to wake him up by blasting an albatross at extremely high volumes, but to succes at all.

today was mizad crazy. seth came to mka, and just chilled with us for a few hours. it was nice. i felt whatever problems i had been having were now irrelevant, just nowing that seth was near. it was weird. i felt really happy and optimistic all day, until it started raining and seth left. then things went back to how they always are. oh well.

"last week i had the strangest dream
where everything was exactly how it seemed
and there was never any mystery
of who shot john f kennedy it was
just a man with something to prove
slightly bored and severely confused he
steadied his riffle with his target in the center
and became famous on that day in november"

    PREACH
oooooooh. finally putting an entry up on my live journal. I've had it for about three days, but have been to lazy to post anything. Today was pretty uneventful. I;ve decided to steal as much shit as i can from the Frasco Family. So far i've stolen $15 from lizzie, and i stole a candle from mike. its fun.
